This was taken just outside my house a few days ago, it was just before sunrise. After scouting early in the morning for days the weather was finally perfect. I also had time to take plenty of picture and finally explore more camera settings such as white balence and metering. I like this photo because the colors were nothing like I used to shoot and blue has a very sharp contrast with the morning sky.

Old 'n' New
I took this last july while I was in Toronto. I always liked this photo because the subjects were very minialist. Nothing stands out took much and your eyes are lead where I want them to go. The black and white really went with a simplicity piece my old boss asked me to do. Also I liked the drawing my firend was doing.

Old and New Photo's
| This is my new photo. I like this photo because of the shape of the flower. I also like the contrasting colours, and the angle of the photo. |

I like this pictue because of the angle it's taken from aswell
as the lighting. It stands out because everything's dark and
in the night but the object is lit up.
What i like about this picture is also the angle. I also like how
there's an area almost in the shape of a circle where the
light is brightest and where the light hits most. Lastly
I like how you can still read the words.
Old and New
I like this photo because of lighting of the the sun lightens the dark waxy leaves of the periwinkle and the makes the flower look relfective
I like of this photo because of the shadowing and having the backround blurred the pinecone is the main focus of the photo.
Getting Started: The Essence of Things
Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the digital photography club. This is where I want you to post the pictures you take, and to learn about (learn more about if you're already a pro) the wonderful world of the digital image, and ultimately about photography. We will primarily be focusing on the digital image, but will also spend some time in the dark room with tradition film. I'm posting two pictures (see above) that I think capture, not just a moment, Remembrance Day 2011 (on the left), but more importantly the essence of an individual in this case, me. Do you agree? The second image (on the right) of a student that also captures the spirit and intelligence of the subject. I want you to begin by taking similar images of each other (or of someone you select), images that capture something beyond the mere appearance of the individual and go to their very soul...
Your job is then to post your images her, and in your post explain why you believe the image(s), no more than two do so.
